Mmm, Mmm, Good!

Autumn was making Biddy some food in her kitchen when she told us "I'm making soup. It's a good recipe.".

Biddy's Birthday

What an exciting night! Autumn ate some pizza crust - a first for her. Then she put on her scarf and built snowmen with Grammy (she's so good at pretending!). Autumn was "fishing"and Biddy had to help her pull in her "heavy fish". Then she needed to take care of her dolly in the swing. She also played with her Legos with Biddy and Daddy while Evan watched (and tried to get his hands on those Legos)... quite the birthday celebration for Biddy!

Peas, Please!

Evan had peas for the first time today. We think he liked them but not totally sure.

That's "crumb-y"

Grammy made a cake and Biddy decorated it for Autumn. She had a piece for a snack. While she was eating, Jim and I were tending to Evan. All of a sudden we hear "Mama, Mama, Mama, MAMA, MAMA, MAMA!" So I ask her what she needs and she says "I have cake in my belly button". Yep, she had a ton of crumbs in there. Don't know how she got so much cake in her belly button when she was wearing a shirt but I had to blow the crumbs out (I huffed and puffed and blew the crumbs out - lol).

First Cereal

Evan had his first solid food today... rice cereal. We think he liked it but it was hard to tell. He liked chewing on the spoon more since I think he's teething. Yes, these were all taken at the same time - we just tried a few bibs out and then no bib! Thanks, Nicole, for loaning us the high chair!

One of Autumn's favorite things was her Jumperoo... Evan, not so much...

Soccer!

Autumn always wants to play soccer so we took her up to the field at the playground. I think she's confusing it with football, though, since she didn't want to kick the ball but instead liked to pick it up and run with it...

Egg Hunt #3

Aunt Lori and Uncle Steve had their "first annual egg hunt" today. Autumn had a great time. She did a good job finding eggs and loved finding the foil-wrapped candy inside them. She did manage to discover cat food, too. I guess the cat food did look a lot like the Kashi cereal she eats...

Autumn's Happy Face

This is what she calls her "happy face"...

Huh?

I went downstairs for a moment to get the wash and came up to find Evan like this... hmmm, who put those ears on him? Must have been the Easter Bunny!

Happy Easter!

We attempted to go to church - we lasted 20 minutes until both kids were unruly. They did better at the Egg Hunt at Biddy & Grammy's. Autumn loved finding the eggs and enjoyed eating the cake that we made. She thought it was her birthday since she got cake and Grammy got her a ton of presents for Easter.

Autumn's First Easter Egg Hunt

We went to see the Easter Bunny first, but she didn't really like him. We waited in line for the egg hunt to begin. She didn't like waiting so Dada bribed her with some candy the Easter Bunny gave her then "ready, set, go"... stampede of parents and children. Many parents were picking up the eggs for their kids but we wanted Autumn to enjoy it and didn't really care how many eggs she got as long as she had fun. She got a few eggs and discovered a small foil-wrapped chocolate egg inside which she had learned about at Aunt Lori's shower (she finally discovered that foil-wrapped things have candy inside). She ate that one and let Dada have the rest of the candy. But then came the best part, in her eyes... sticks and rocks - definitely the highlight of the day! We had the sticks lined up and of course there was the "Mama snake", "Dada snake", and "Baby snake"... but I think all the rocks were "babies" since they were all gravel size. She had fun making piles and just getting dirty! Meanwhile, Evan just checked things out and had a bottle...

Painting Easter Eggs!

We went to Biddy and Grammy's for the traditional Saturday lunch (but at dinner time this year!) of Paska bread, ham, potato salad, and hard-boiled eggs. Autumn LOVED the paska bread! She did a great job painting eggs, too. We also made a bunny cake which we'll show you tomorrow!
