Tummy Time

Evan rolled onto his tummy today and didn't protest being there... he actually liked it. I think he wants to crawl... he's just itching to move.

Gramma's Birthday

Curious George

We were able to get some free tickets to the Curious George Live show. Autumn did not like the idea of sitting in a seat but she was taken by all the people and activity. We finally got her to sit by giving her her first soft pretzel. She had a good time and Jim and I had an even better time watching her!

Good Big Sister!

I'm sure sibling rivalry will happen when they get older but for now it warms my heart with how sweet Autumn is with her brother... Evan dropped his monkey and started to fuss.. Autumn: "Don't cry, B'en. It's otay. I get your monkey."

Evan's First Tantrum

We took Evan to Sadies to get his Easter pictures done since they have live bunnies. At one point the bunny put his front legs up on the basket Evan was sitting in. Evan grabbed her one leg and when I tried to pry his little fingers off, he did a major "pouty lip" and let out this big scream. Jim thought that the bunny had either scratched him or bit him but I was right there and knew neither had happened - Evan was just mad that the bunny was taken away!

Let's Play with Markers

I do trick!

"Mama, I do trick. I pull a bunny out a hat. Abby-a-abby-a-zoo (while wavy handsover pretend hat)."

Evan did a trick, too. He rolled from his back to his tummy and then back again! I'm glad he's learned that since he doesn't like being stuck on his tummy.

Weigh in: Evan is up to 13lbs 6oz

A Walk in the Park

We went for a walk in Trexler Park today. Evan fell asleep in his stroller while Autumn looked at ducks, flowers coming through the ground, and her favorite, puppies! There was one puppy who was very friendly... Autumn loved playing with her...

Mama, you are wrong!

Autumn asked for help making her "nest", so I arranged the blanket in a circle on the floor like we usually do. She sad down in the nest and I told her she was a very nice birdie... she looked at me and said "I'm a duck"...sorry!

Hi

Jim was holding Evan when I walked into the room. Evan looked up at me, smiled, and said "hi" - we both heard it. It probably wasn't intentional but it was super cute!

Bumbo

We put Evan in the Bumbo seat tonight. Not sure he likes it yet...he doesn't quite get that he's supposed to sit facing forward...

Drink up!

Evan can hold the bottle all by himself now...and I'm going to encourage it all I can. Autumn was spoiled and would not hold it herself until she was over a year old - not even when I tried to convince her to hold her special sippy cup.

Way to go, Evan!

Evan rolled over for the first time today! His first "roll" was when I went into the kitchen for literally a minute. His next "roll" was when Jim was watching him but Jim had looked over at Autumn and in that split second, that's when he rolled over. We finally both saw him do it late this evening. We think it's pretty cool but I don't think Evan likes it... he gets really confused about what happened and he does not like being on his tummy!

Sneaky Skunk!

Today Jim and I had our first "date" since having Evan. We enjoyed lunch at Olive Garden. Later, while Biddy and Grammy were here Autumn pretended to be a "baby skunk". She crawled over to Biddy and asked if he wanted to pet her and then turned her behind towards him and pretended to spray him and said "oh, stinky". Jim had the camera out and caught this photo of the "stinking". She's a sneaky little skunk!

Biddy and Grammy also did a "shadow puppet" show... but Autumn likes to make shadows with real puppets!

Photobucket

She also likes to play "pirate" but instead of a peg-leg she has a peg-hand... we're not quite sure why!

And Evan rode an elephant - it was quite a night!
